Dutch batik artist Karen Hendrikse's home is in the Southern Appalachian Mountains where she spends half her time. Currently her heart dwells in Central America and Holland as well. Deeply connected with Mother Earth, Father Sky and the elements, she journeys to a place deep within to remember the Divine Feminine. Her batiked tapestries are an expression of the abundant beauty of all Creation. Each batik is created in meditation as a universal prayer for unconditional love and understanding and will invite you to embrace the Divine Feminine within yourself.
